Moments to Remember.

Tonight as we sat in the movie theater with Asher and Cora between Jesse and I, I looked up at my husband and we both grinned....thinking the same thing, we are so, so blessed.  Cora was moving every part of her body to the rhythm of the music, her pony tail bouncing and Asher was in hysterics as he watched.  Two different responses to the same situation but each one equally heart melting.

As I soaked up the moment I had the thought that I have many times a week....I have to get back to blogging.

Because, I don't want to forget the way Cora says, "I soooo hunry" before bed to tug our heart strings delaying bed for her and giving us another opportunity to spend time with her or today at the mall when she wanted a treat and said, "I so soooooo hunry," in this adorable whiny voice that seriously get's me every time.
I don't want to forget that Asher said he is ready to try gymnastics after years of prompting, it may seem little to you but it's huge to us and our unique little guy.

I don't want to forget  me being the best mom I could be advocating and moving schedules around to get him the very best teacher for his personality.

I don't want to forget Asher telling me that the best part of New Years Eve was spending time with Jesus and saying, "I love Jesus with my heart and with my spirit."

I don't want to forget how Cora punched her brother for something and that even though it was so very wrong and she received a consequence, there is something about seeing my cute blond 2 year old punch that made me laugh, even though I say it again - it was so wrong!

These moments made us laugh, they made us proud, they made us remember that being a parent is the hardest damn job ever but the most rewarding.  These moments might not make my readers giggle or make them proud, or tug their heart strings, but they are our moments.  Beautiful moments that capture our family story.  And so, I return ready to write.  Ready to remember our moments.
