Currently I'm working on putting on a city wide leadership conference for a few churches in Missoula, I'm coordinating details for a wedding and I'm volunteering as one of the main chairs to put on the Festival of Trees for Mountain Home and a large hospital in our area. The Festival is very, very time consuming, I'm running from meetings in person, phone meetings, e-mails and a brain that is constantly thinking as I volunteer hours and hours each week for this event. It's going to be fantastic, I'm honored to have two great organizations believe in me and empower me, and I'm making great new friendships.
But, I find myself in a season where I'm juggling life, from one thing to the next and I'm possibly over committed. So, I take it a moment at a time, I choose to get on the floor and read books with my children, I choose to include Cora in my cooking projects although it may make it take twice as long, I choose to take walks around my neighborhood when I have 51 unread e-mail in my inbox. I choose to shut my computer down and watch a movie with Jesse even when I shouldn't. This choosing doesn't mean I get to let my responsibilities to my volunteer projects fall to the wayside. They still need to get done in excellent fashion.
I'm alive planning these events, especially the Festival. I'm having fun, I'm using my gifting, I'm leading and I love it! I thought that the end of summer would mean more time for blogging and more time for reading blogs but I'm not sure that it will. So I will write and post when I can.
Today, I'm catching up on Asher's real birthday.....we celebrated with family before heading off to another wedding I helped coordinate. Asher felt celebrated and LOVED his gifts. It was a day of celebration.
** So many things happening in this pictures....a messy sisters excitement, thrill from the birthday boy and a Mama happy for her boy!
Happy 5th birthday little cowboy!
